10 Amazing Ways To Use The Hair Conditioner - Must Learn

Posted By: Kate Rodrigues

I know I'm not the only person that has conditioner just sitting around in their cabinet that is not even suitable for co-washing. I have some very creative and rather unique ways to use your hair conditioner if you ever purchased a hair conditioner and you got it home you used if you didn't like it for whatever reason.

Then this post is one that you will find really helpful because it will help you to use up that conditioner that you may not have liked.

#1. Shaving Cream

I got this tip from my friend Tiffany and ever since that I have never used shaving cream. I always use conditioner and it always gets the best smoothest result. You will never imagine how much you are going to love using hair conditioner as your shaving cream until you try it out.

If you run out of shaving cream or you dont want to spend extra money, you can use hair conditioner in its place. It works amazing. It is really creamy and it is going to do the exact same thing for a fraction of the cost. It will give you the same silky smooth skin. Nourishing benefits as your regular shaving cream.

#2. Soften Makeup Brushes

This is something that I do every time I wash my makeup brushes. I've experienced makeup brushes with hard, dry bristles and rubbing on my face. When I'm putting on my makeup, it is just not a pleasant experience.

What I do is after I wash my makeup brushes is I just take a little bit of conditioner, which is enough to get the bristles nice and slippery and leave that on my brushes for one to two minutes. Sometimes five minutes. Go back and then just rinse it off under cold water. Reshape my brushes, lay them down to dry and it keeps my bristles super soft and super flexible for the longevity of the brush.

#3. Add Fresh Smell

I'm here anything like me and you love the smell of fresh sheets. Oh, you don't want to wash your sheets every day because that's not economical and who has time for that. Squeeze a dab of conditioner into a spray bottle, filled with water, shake it up and spritz this onto your sheets. You can also do this with your towels.

Let them air dry and enjoy that fresh smell.

#4. Detangle Hair Extensions

You can also use simple conditioner to detangle your human hair extensions long after you've washed it.

To do this, take a mixture of one part conditioner to nine parts water mix it together in a spray bottle and then spritz it on your hair extensions and detangle with a fine-tooth comb.

#5. Soften Clothing

If you're looking for a DIY kind of clothing softener. Something that you can do is take a washcloth, dampen it with conditioner and then throw it into the dryer with your clothing and linens. This will help to soften up your fabrics.

#6. Moisturize Skin

Another tip I had to share with you is one that is perfect for this time of year because we're going into the winter months where it's going to get really dry and wreak havoc our skin especially for my friends up north.

Something that you can do to help bring moisture back into your skin adds a little bit of conditioner in with your bathwater. It's just like bath oil and it helps keep skin smooth during the winters harsh dryness

.

#7. Shine Stainless Steel

Next tip is one that I really didn't believe when I first read it and I thought I don't know if that's going to work but I'm going to try and find out that it does really work to shine up your stainless steel appliances.

Take a little bit of conditioner onto a washcloth and use this to buff over the stainless steel. This will help to remove fingerprints and bring your stainless steel back to its shining glory.

#8. Soften Cuticles

A very simple hat to use the conditioner that doesn't work on your hair is to use it as a cuticle soft.

The next time you're giving yourself that at-home manicure, Take a little bit of this smooth it onto your cuticles allows it to sit there and soften them up and then you can push them back very easily and continue on with your manicure.

#9. Wash Clothing

Now, I usually wash my unmentionables or some of my more delicate clothing items with Woolite, but in a pinch when I run out of Woolite, something that I like to do is take a little bit of conditioner and use that in place of the Woolite to clean those indelicate items. It works just as well.

#10. Remove Tattoos

This is a tip for all of the moms out there who have young children who are obsessed with those fake tattoos.

My daughters used to love those fake tattoos. They would put them on their cheeks. They look with them on their forehead. They will put them on their legs, their chest, their arms, and any available skin. I used to have the hardest time trying to get those tattoos off.

If I would have known about this five years ago, it would have saved me a lot of time and it would have saved my girl's skin. A whole lot of abrasion with mama trying to scrub that's the ball.
